Cast: Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Priyanka Moodley
Director: Gauri Shinde
This Dear Zindagi movie review is for all those who like Shahrukh Khan and Alia Bhatt. This film was one of the most expensive Bollywood movies ever made, making Alia Bhatt’s performance worth Rs 5 crore. So, is it worth it? Read on to know more. Despite the high cost, Dear Zindagi manages to entertain audiences while providing a heart-warming message to them.
The movie features a young aspiring director played by Alia Bhatt, whose love life has taken a turn for the worse. She has been unable to find the right man to share her life with, and she’s been acting irrationally to save her relationship. The film follows her as she seeks the help of her new life coach and therapist, Jehangir Khan, played by Shah Rukh Khan.
The movie takes place in Mumbai, Goa and the South, and follows a talented young cinematographer named Kaira, who is desperate for love. Kaira is a woman who craves love but keeps running away from it. Fortunately, she is rescued by a world-class therapist, Dr Jehangir Khan. Amid the story’s love triangle, the supporting cast of Dear Zindagi is excellent.
Despite the bumpy ride, Alia Bhatt’s performance in Dear Zindagi is truly path-breaking. The actress is on par with the top performances of ‘Udta Punjab‘ and ‘Highway‘. Alia Bhatt is completely natural in the role, and Shahrukh Khan is equally good. The film also stars Kunal Kapoor, Ali Zafar, and Angad Bedi. Aditya Roy Kapur is a welcome surprise.
Shahrukh Khan in Dear Zindagi Movie
Dear Zindagi is a delightful and heartwarming film directed by Gauri Shinde. It is a refreshing take on life with powerful performances and the film defines the character of Kaira well. The conversation between Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt becomes interesting as they try to understand each other. Amit Trivedi’s songs add charm to the film. It is a fun to watch during the interval.
Despite the mediocre plot, the star performances and screenplay will keep audiences glued to the screen. Aliaa is an excellent young professional who confronts her fears and shines. The supporting cast does justice to the characters. But the film would not be as great without Shah Rukh Khan. We will not spoil it by discussing the film’s flaws or the performances of the other leads.
While Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan’s chemistry on screen is impeccable, the film’s morality is questionable. Although the film is racy and offers some controversial topics, the film manages to make a statement with its themes. The movie has a message that’s important and offers insight into the importance of finding comfort in your imperfections. The technical aspects of Dear Zindagi are excellent.
