This Hindi remake of the Telugu film Jersey, which won the National Award for Best Film, tracks the life of a domestic cricket star who decides to quit the game. Both the original and remake were directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Arjun Talwar, a renowned cricketer. While Shahid Kapoor’s character is endearing, the film’s lack of intrigue makes it a less than thrilling watch.

Jersey Movie Review

Shahid Kapoor is a perfect match to play Nani

After starring in a Telugu remake of ‘Tata Patang’, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for another big release: Jersey. The film tells the story of two twins who share different personality traits and speech defects. The script and director, Gowtam Tinnanuri, are a perfect match, and they do an excellent job translating the dialogues. Shahid’s performance as a middle-aged father and cricketer makes the movie even more credible.

Shahid Kapoor is the perfect match for Nani in this film because he is as charming as his role suggests. His emotional quotient makes you forget that he is an actor at all! Moreover, his portrayal of the helpless Arjun Talwar shows maturity and restraint, which is essential to play this role. The movie will be a big hit, and it’s highly recommended.

Jersey is a well-intentioned sports drama

The film Jersey is about Arjun Talwar, who was once a brilliant cricketer. After his injury, he quit playing cricket, but 10 years later, he picks up the bat and plays again. This time, however, he does so to fulfill his son’s dreams. While the film is mostly enjoyable, it does suffer from its own flaws. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you watch Jersey.

Gowtam Tinnanuri, who directed Jersey, is a strong director. He manages to convey the film’s underlying themes in a way that makes it more than just a sports drama. Anil Mehta’s cinematography is also strong. The scenes at the cricket field are especially beautiful and beautifully shot. Despite its flaws, Jersey is a highly enjoyable film for any cricket fan.

It lacks intrigue

The new movie Jersey is about a young Indian cricketer, Arjun, who finds a mentor and support in his coach, Madhav Sharma. Unfortunately, the movie lacks intrigue and drags on for nearly three hours. There is little sense of urgency in the story, and the romantic subplot between Arjun and Vidya is overdone. It also lacks the requisite humour, which the director tries to inject by playing on stereotypes of both North and South Indian cultures.

While Nani gives one of his best performances, Jersey lacks intrigue and pace. The movie is 172 minutes long and has nothing much to keep its audience’s attention. But there is one emotional scene, involving Arjun’s family, that makes the movie watchable. The film ends after revealing an emotional fact about Arjun. A final Ranji match between Mumbai and Hyderabad is underway and Arjun becomes the savior of the team. Unfortunately, Arjun is ill at the last minute, and his wife wants to take care of him. After a heartbreaking call from her husband, she asks him to choose between the game and his family.
