In this Kapoor & Sons Movie Review, we take a look at Rajat Kapoor’s character, which reminds us of the little things that go wrong in our own families. Alia Bhatt is equally impressive as the sexy housewife, and the direction from Shakun Batra is excellent. But, the film does have its faults. As we’ll see, the movie is not as good as it may seem.

Kapoor & Sons Movie Review

Shakun Batra’s last film

This Shakun Batra film, directed by Rohit Shetty, is a surprisingly affecting and enjoyable watch. The film is a bittersweet ode to a family that has been strained for years. While the story of Amarjeet’s unfaithful parents is a heartwarming one, it also serves as a surprisingly powerful lesson on relationships.

The cinematography in Kapoor & Sons is brilliant. This film explores the themes of embracing your imperfections and finding the proper solutions. When a quick-fix solution is offered, it appears as betrayal. The cinematography of Jeffery F. Bierman captures the essence of the hill station Coonoor, a town a couple of hours from Mumbai.

Rajat Kapoor’s character reminds you of little things that are wrong in your own family

As Bauji and his daughter become increasingly romantic, you realize that everything in your family isn’t perfect. Meanwhile, your younger brother Rishi is becoming distant and wants to move out of the house. In contrast, Bauji’s wife (Seema Pahwa) is a harried, loud-mouthed woman. While this may sound like a perfect marriage, it is not.

The character of Rajat Kapoor is also a misogynist who enjoys hurting women. In the film, he tries to abort the child of another woman. He also tortures women into carrying demon children. But, despite his misogyny, he never seems to learn the lessons he has taught. He uses mythology to justify his behavior, which is completely unjustified.

Alia Bhatt’s performance

One of the most memorable performances of Alia Bhatt’s career so far has been her portrayal of Tia Malik in the film Kapoor & Sons. The film’s story is a classic Bollywood love story with elements of new age romance. Inspired by the novel by Chetan Bhagat, the movie is an all-out entertainer with Alia delivering a powerful performance. She embodies every aspect of her character, from being a chirpy prostitute to a politically-charged politician.

Although Karan Johar tried to convince Alia Bhatt to turn down the film, she remained committed to the project, saying she wanted to hear Shakun Batra’s story. But once she saw the film and felt comfortable with the story, she fell in love with the movie and the role. The film’s acclaimed cast – including Sidhartha Malhotra and Fawad Khan – also adored Alia Bhatt’s performance in Kapoor & Sons.

Shakun Batra’s direction

Shakun Batra is an Indian film director and screenwriter. His first film was the romantic comedy Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. Shakun’s subsequent films include Gehraiyaan and Kapoor & Sons. His directing and screenwriting skills have earned him accolades for both the film and the script. Below are a few things that made his direction in Kapoor & Sons stand out in the Bollywood movie industry.

As a director, Shakun Batra has an eye for telling great stories. He has an easy way of playing with the emotions, and he manages to make the famous line from Karan Johar about family a reality. Another element that makes Shakun Batra’s direction in Kapoor & Sons so effective is the film’s setting. Set in the small town of Coonoor, this film has a wonderfully season-based, rural feel.
