- Stops Spreading Of Cancer
Researchers at California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, 2007 have claimed that CBD can prohibit the spreading of cancer. The role of cancer cells is to make more copies of a gene called Id-1 and spread them throughout the body. The study which was published in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics found that cannabidiol can stop cancer from spreading in the body by turning off Id-1.
Breast cancer cells were researched on in the lab. They were treated with cannabidiol and they turned into less aggressive spreaders.

CBD oil is beneficial to be taken for mental health.
A very low dose of THC can also help people deal with their nervousness during a public speaking task, as per a study published in Drug and Alcohol Dependence. It should be noted that only a small, supervised dose of THC will do the job. A higher quantity will actually make anxiety worse.
More research and studies are needed to conclude the correct dose.

It is possible to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s, according to a study done by Kim Janda, Scripps Research Institute.
The study was published in Molecular Pharmaceuticals, 2006. It suggested that THC is an active chemical in cannabis which can actually slow down the formation of amyloid plaques, by blocking the enzymes in the brain. It is this plaque which kills brain cells and causes Alzheimer’s.
- It Can Control Epileptic Seizures
According to a study published in 2003, cannabis has the potential to control epileptic seizures.
Marijuana extracts and synthetic marijuana was administered to epileptic rats by Robert J. DeLorenzo, Virginia Commonwealth University. It was seen that seizures stopped for about 10 hours.
