The makers of the enthralling comedy-horror Bhool Bhulaiyaa have confirmed the next part of the franchise. This is in light of the success of the sequel and the acclaim it has received from the viewers. Kabir Singh, the Shahid Kapoor-starrer, has also been performing well in the box office.
Two films are in the works, namely ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Kabir Singh 2’. The former is the sequel to Bhul Bhulaiyaa, which was released in 2007. The former is directed by Priyadarshan. Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Shahid is set to reprise his role as an Indian general in the remake.
The film was controversial, and there was much talk about the glorification of misogyny in the sequel. It sparked a storm of controversy when its director doubled down on his critics in an interview. Despite the controversy, the film managed to break a number of box office records. The producers have yet to announce the title of the sequel, but the first two are expected to hit theatres sometime this year.
According to Bhushan Kumar, Kabir Singh is another franchise. The film’s producers say the character is an iconic one, and there is scope for a second part. The productions of both films will announce more details as they become available.
