The 65th academic Filmfare awards just rounded up, and the results were not the same as expected from the audience for all the categories. “The Gully Boy” group stood out as a sensation for the award ceremony as the film bagged 11 Honours in its name!

The award for best film went to Gully Boy during the award for best director named for Zoya Akhtar for the same movie. The award for best actor in a leading role (male) and the award for best actor in a leading role (female) went to the credit of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for Gully Boy. 

Other significant categories were as follows –

Best music album: Gully Boy and Kabir Singh

Best playback singer (Male): Arijit Singh for Kalank from the movie “Kalank.”

Best lyrics: Divine and Ankur Tewari for “Apna time aayega”- Gully Boy

Best dialogue: Vijay Maurya for “Gully Boy.”

Best Screenplay: Reema Kagati and Zoya Akhtar for “Gully Boy.”

Best Original story:  Anubhav Sinha and Gaurav Solanki for “Article 15.”

Best Editing Uri: A Surgical Strike

On the contrary, Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar also bagged their awards for their respective categories. The former was appreciated for the job. She justified so well, while the latter made a splendid performance that can genuinely connect with the audience.

One thing that came out as an unanticipated event is when Ananya Pandey was credited with the award for the Best debut actor (Female). 

Since then, the Filmfare awards have been speculated as being a paid award not just for the sake of this category but for other hypes as well. Nevertheless, the award categories faced huge controversies on its part, which is no more a matter of surprise or topic of debate.
