After the Indian Premier League came to a halt as many players and support staff from different teams tested corona positive because of the breach of the bio-bubble created for an uninterrupted tournament and the World Test Championship finale to be held in June between India and New Zealand, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Sunday confirmed India tour to Sri Lanka in July with some interesting announcements.

Some interesting announcements to know about the tour are:

Big names such as captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma will not be part of the tour as they will be in England to be part of five match test series.

The president announced that it will be a different team of white ball specialists.

There will be at least five T20 internationals and may be three ODIs in Sri Lanka.

Some of the IPL emerging stars are expected to benefit from this announcement.
